These Chocolate Mint Smoothies are frosting and refreshing! Made easy with just 5 ingredients all in the blender and ready to go in minutes. The fresh mint gives it just enough mint taste without being overpowering. The perfect mid day pick-me up or add your favourite protein powder for a refreshing after workout shake!

Chocolate Mint Smoothie

About a month ago I planted some mint for my kitchen window and it since has gone wild and it slowly taking over the window for itself. I knew mint had a tendency to do this and for some reason I decided to do it anyways, lol. Not that I’m complaining about having fresh mint in my life, it’s great to use in a number of dishes, in salads and smoothies like these Chocolate Mint Smoothies.

So refreshing, I find using fresh mint gives it a lovely mint taste without being overpowering which I sometimes find happens when you use extracts. Combined with the cocoa powder, milk and vanilla yogurt, it’s so creamy and frothy, almost like a milk shake!

I added a little bit of ice to mine because I like my smoothies thick but you may find you don’t need it.

Now I’m off to make mint chocolate everything until I harvest my next batch of mint!

Ingredients

  • 2 Frozen Bananas
  • 1/2 Cup of Vanilla Yogurt
  • 3 Tbsp of Cocoa Powder
  • 1/4 Cup of Fresh Mint Leaves
  • 2 Cups of Milk or Nut Milk
  • Small handful of ice (optional)
  • 1 Scoop of Protein Powder (optional)

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to a high speed blender and blender on smoothie function or high until fully combined
