I love experimenting with different variations of elevated coffees and teas, and with fall fast approaching I’m thinking thick creamy mugs and warm blankets for hanging around the fire pit.
I know pumpkin spice everything usually starts to make it’s appearance around now but I thought I’d try something a little less ‘basic’.
Not to mention the large list of benefits that come from Matcha itself. Matcha is high in antioxidants, especially Catechin (EGCg) which is known for it’s cancer fighting properties. It promotes a calm and relaxing state but also boosts memory and concentration. Increases energy levels and strengthens the immune system.
Mix that with your healthy cognitive function supporting fats and you have yourself one serious mug of tea AND a pretty awesome green matcha moustache – BONUS.
I used Macadamia Nut Milk for mine because I just love how creamy and thick it is but you could use any other nut milk you prefer.
Boil hot water in kettle or stove top
In a small sauce pan warm Macadamia Nut Milk
Add hot water to sauce pan with remaining ingredients and blend using an emulsifier or transfer to blender and blend
Pour into your favourite mug and enjoy!
