Chicken & Black Bean Hand Pies

Easy to make savoury hand pies – Stuffed with minced chicken, black beans, herb and spices



  1. Preheat oven to 375F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper
  2. In a large skillet, heat oil and add onion, garlic, and jalapeños and allow to cook until onions become slightly translucent
  3. Add minced chicken and spices  to skillet and cook until chicken is fully cooked, add cilantro, lime juice and black beans to mixture
  4. Divide mixture onto 4 puff pastry rounds leaving a 1/2 inch border
  5. Fold over to and crimp edges to seal pie, using a fork or folding with fingers
  6. Brush pies with egg wash and cut 3 slashes on each pie
  7. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top
  8. Bake pies for approx 25 minutes or until puff pastry is golden brown
